About Healthy Mind Foundation
Healthy Mind Foundation — Our GRIT Core Values
At Healthy Mind Foundation (HMF), four core values define how we serve our participants, work with one another, and conduct ourselves every day. Together, they give us our GRIT: Generosity • Respect • Integrity • Trust
Our values build on one another:
We GIVE generously → because we RESPECT people → we RESPECT people by first showing INTEGRITY → and through INTEGRITY and consistency, we earn TRUST.
G — Generosity
We believe generosity means should be a minimum standard in healthcare.
We generously give our time, talent, attention, knowledge, encouragement, and effort to our participants and colleagues.
That looks like:
· Providing timely, responsive, and thoughtful service.
· Connecting participants with the full range of appropriate and medically beneficial services that can help them achieve better outcomes.
· Being generous with encouragement, recognition, praise, knowledge, and support for our colleagues and participants.
Simply put: We generously give our best.
R — Respect
We believe the opportunity to serve others is a privilege.
HMF exists because participants exist. We are not simply providers; we are service providers. Therefore, we treat every participant and colleague with dignity, consideration, honesty, and respect for their rights and choices.
That looks like:
· Obtaining informed voluntary consent whenever required, with no financial or other forms of inducements, manipulation, or coercion.
· Communicating and responding to requests in a timely and respectful manner.
· Communicating factually, honestly, respectfully, and comprehensively.
Simply put: We treat the privilege of serving others with respect.
I — Integrity
We believe integrity means respecting one's values, even when it is inconvenient.
Integrity is demonstrated through consistency between our words, actions, decisions, and responsibilities, regardless of the circumstances or audience.
That looks like:
· The core truth of what we communicate remains consistent regardless of who is asking.
· Our actions align with our words, commitments, and responsibilities.
· We comply with all applicable federal and state laws, regulations, payer requirements, professional standards, and HMF policies.
Simply put: We do what we know to be right in all situations.
T — Trust
We believe integrity is the foundation of trust.
Trust is earned, not demanded. We earn the trust of our participants and colleagues through consistent, reliable, transparent, and accountable behavior.
That looks like:
· Keeping both the big and small promises and commitments.
· Transparently communicating our goals, responsibilities, and progress, and taking ownership of delivering what we promised.
· When we make a mistake, we disclose it appropriately, take ownership, apologize when warranted, correct it, and learn from it.
Simply put: We earn trust through what we consistently do.
